Big update coming soon and 100 Page views!
Thank you so very much for Tales of the Elm reaching 100 page views! YAY!
I have exciting news! I have been working very hard and version 1.2 is coming out 22 of July!!!!
It will include:
- Attacking animations
- Monsters and monster animations!
- Death animations.. creeeeepy!
- More environmental assets including a new pine tree!
- Updated shadows and reflections.
- Updated cliff to include more complex shapes. (In progress)
- A waterfall! (In progress)
My goal is to create a solid asset pack with animations, environment and UI options- basically everything you need to build a game with. I will be releasing devlogs weekly and aiming for an asset update every 2 weeks with more and more things added so stay tuned!
I have updated my itch.io name. At first I wanted it to be “lavender dream” for my assets to help someone reach their dream… but I think “lavender enchants” (maybe??? ) sounds cooler because it’s a reference to a purple enchantment in a game that levels up your weapon… That’s what I wish for my assets to do with your games ^_^ I also love fantasy and magic aesthetic so.. yeah when I thought of it I needed to do this…tehehe!
Thank you always for your support!
Blessings to you, Lavender.
Ps. Please enjoy my new tree process image ^_^

If your GUI will be independent of the all other stuff from the pack, so it can be separate asset pack... How much time do you spent on drawing?
That's a great idea! Like release it as an addon content? I have never made a full GUI before so I think releasing it separate to my other work might be wise haha. I spent 2 nights after work on this tree so probably about 5 hours? I think the reason it took so long was because I "finished it" by the second drawing after a few hours- but was really unhappy with it and how it looked in game. (Due to it being too wide looking/proportions are wrong). It might be hard to tell- but I had to resize and redraw a lot of it between the 2nd and 3rd picture. I was not happy with my dumb mistake and I think I will plan more roughly and test it in earlier in game next time- but I am happy with how it looks now.
I didn't mean addon. I meant if ui will be independent and will look great if you can use it in another game (with different style or genre) but it still looks good there, so it should be separate pack...
Ah I see what you mean! That would be a great idea!
